The Marketplace

Handmade & Bound Nashville 2014 takes place  October 4, 2014 from 11a.m.-4p.mH&BN is a celebration of all things book.

It’s also a sort of trade show and marketplace, a place where vendors can connect with readers, fans, hobbyists and other vendors. We welcome makers of books, blank books, book objects, book jewelry, comics, mini-comics and zines, as well as sellers of book and printing materials.

Register now to be a vendor at H&BN 2014.

Depending on weather, vendors will set-up indoors at Watkins College of Art, Design & Film, with the option of setting up in designated areas outside, adjacent to the building. Demonstrations and participatory activities will take place both inside and out, with food trucks providing nourishment. The festival date is Saturday, October 4, 2014 preceded by opening events Friday, October 3.

The deadline for all vendor requests is Monday September 22.  Applications can be made online, with payment made separately, or printed and sent via snail mail, in which case the application should be postmarked by Septem­ber 22. Late applications will only be con­sidered providing space is still available. Vendor table requests will be finalized only upon receipt of payment. All applicants will receive an initial confir­mation e-mail upon receipt of application, and another e-mail concerning acceptance status once the application is processed.We accept personal checks or money orders made payable to:

Sales and Tax Information

All vendors are responsible for taxing items for sale in compliance with Tennessee sales tax codes. Credit card machines will not be available for use, so vendors should plan accordingly to accept cash and checks or bring a manual credit card imprinter.

Table Rental Fees

Vendor tables are of standard 6’ x 30” and are available on a first come, first serve basis. The charge for each table is $35. There is a 3-table limit for all vendor applicants. Any signage, tablecloths, etc. will be the responsi­bility of the vendor.

There will be a variety of book artists, zine makers and other small presses, book jewelry makers, letterpress and cut paper card, handmade paper and more available for you to browse and purchase. At many of the tables the artists will be demonstrating their craft, but they are all happy to discuss their work with you.
